WASHINGTON (AP) — Juan Soto overcame a 15-game homer drought with a two-run shot, Tanner Rainey got the last five outs and the Washington Nationals held off the lead to beat the Rockies 6-5 on Sunday. Colorado.

Soto also added a double and received a walk for the cause of the Nationals, who won three of four games against the Rockies. Lane Thomas added a two-run homer.

Rockies starter Kyle Freeland (1-5) apparently left the mound with a left leg injury two out in the sixth. He went down awkwardly as he threw his 107th pitch and pointed at his leg.

Freeland left the field with assistance. They blamed him for five runs and seven hits. He walked four and struck out two.

Nationals starter Josiah Gray (5-4) allowed three hits and gave up four walks and one run in five innings.
