With the massive arrival of streaming platforms, it was believed that traditional television consumption was going to fall significantly and although the indicators record a drop, it has not been that much.
On the contrary, in recent months there has been a rebound in rating records.
“The new productions of national private TV give it a new place in Colombian homes. The televisions turned on between February and so far in March have been growing. The growth is concentrated between 9 and 10 at night,” details a report from the National Consulting Center (CNC).
They explain that this rebound can be attributed to national TV and especially to RCN, given that the weekday and weekend share of the total number of televisions on gives significant growth to this channel.
“Based on an extensive analysis that covers more than 200,000 homes in nearly 700 municipalities, the National Consulting Center (CNC) has detected a marked increase in television consumption throughout the country, a trend that has emerged in parallel with the launch from La Casa de los Famosos on Canal RCN. “This growth underscores renewed viewer interest in national television programming.”
The episode of Wednesday, March 13, was seen by 353,000 homes, according to CNC records, while on social networks it had a reach of 39.1 million and 13.4 million mentions.

The broadcast of La Casa de los Famosos has been growing. From the 3.23 rating it had on the day of its premiere (February 11), on Sunday, March 10, it went on to occupy first place in the rating, with 5.56, surpassing established programs such as Séptimo Día, from Caracol, which recorded a rating of 4.90, and Primate from the RCN channel with a 4.51, this according to CNC data.
In the other measurement in the country, that of Kantar Ibope Media, the records also rose.
At the beginning of the year, no program exceeded 9.0 rating points, while in the last two weeks, Rigo has exceeded that figure on a couple of occasions.
