QUERÉTARO, Qro., January 23, 2022.- The pandemic changed the characteristics of the tourists who arrive in Querétaro, the arrival of visitors from Canada was reduced, but that of those Mexicans who live on the border with the United States increased, indicated Aarón Trejo Heredia, president of the Association of Tourist Guides of the state of Querétaro.
Those who live in northern border states used to go on vacation to the United States, with the pandemic they chose to tour the country and chose Querétaro as one of their favorite destinations.
Canadian tourists who come with the guides are almost nil, despite the fact that before the pandemic it was, along with the United States, one of the strongest presences, in terms of foreigners. Visitors from South America also seek the service, although on a smaller scale.
