National Team Revives Hopes of Advancing to Semi-finals in Arab Padel Championship

The national team achieved two valuable victories over Iraq and Oman, respectively, reviving its hopes of advancing to the semi-finals of the first edition of the Arab Padel Championship, which is organized by the Arab and Emirati Padel Federations, until next October 1, and its competitions are held at the Nad Al Sheba Sports Complex in Dubai with the participation of 11 Arab countries.

The launch of the tournament was witnessed by Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Padel Federation and Honorary President of the Arab Federation, Ahmed Ghatouri, President of the Arab Federation, members of the UAE and Arab Federations and heads of participating delegations. Yesterday, the team outperformed its Iraqi counterpart during the morning period in the first group in all three matches, where padel competitions are held for teams by calculating the results of three matches between each two teams. Then the team returned in the evening period to achieve a victory over Amman 3-0 as well. In the same group, Morocco achieved victory over Oman 3-0, while in the second group, Jordan achieved victory over Syria 2-1, and Kuwait defeated Sudan 3-0.

The first round, which was held yesterday, witnessed the team losing to Qatar 1-2, while Oman achieved victory over Iraq 2-1, and Qatar defeated Iraq 3-0 in the first group. In the second group, Kuwait achieved victory over Egypt 2-1, and Bahrain prevailed. over Syria 3-0, Egypt over Sudan 3-0, and Bahrain over Jordan 3-0.

Tomorrow, attention will turn to the third round, which will be decisive to determine the ranking of the two groups, and the fate of the teams qualifying for the semi-finals. In the morning, the national team will meet with Morocco, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Syria, Bahrain, and Sudan, while in the evening, Egypt, Syria, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and Oman will play. , Iraq and Morocco.
