Jakob Horvatits, Samuel Grandits and Mathias Resetarits from the Ozelots in Vienna took part in the tryout for the junior national team. The big goal was to make the leap into the team for the junior European championship in Italy in September.
Samuel Grandits drives the team to the EM
While Mathias Resetarits can continue to hope for a commitment in the U17, Grandits made the jump to the U15. Chairman Jan Zsifkovits was delighted with the performance: “I am extremely proud of all three boys. The fact that two of them made the cut and are still there is the result of hard work not only for the players, but also for the club. ”Samuel Grandits and Mathias Resetarits have only been with the club for a year. Zsifkovits said: “Like all of our other junior players, you made a big step in the difficult Corona period.”
The chairman wants to expand the offer in the near future, especially for younger players, and we are looking forward to further growth. The only requirement: You have to be 14 years old, then nothing stands in the way of joining the ocelots. Trainer Peter Grandits also sprinkled roses on the athletes: “I’m very proud of the boys. All three deserved to progress. “
Mathias Resetarits: “I was really happy about the chance to take part in Camp Day. I would be even more happy if I could also go to the European Championships. ”Grandits summed up:“ It was my intention to gain as much experience as possible during training. I didn’t expect to get any further. I’m glad I made it. “
