National Superior Court proposes reengineering of its jurisdictional bodies

Proposal was prepared by the District Technical Team.

The District Technical Team for Implementation of the Criminal Procedure Code (ETI) of the National Superior Court of Specialized Criminal Justice (CSN) approved an important agreement that contemplates a reengineering of its jurisdictional bodies with the purpose of speeding up the processes in process, and fluidity to the work carried out by its judges and jurisdictional staff.

The ETI is chaired by Dr. Octavio César Sahuanay Calsín, and is made up of Jhonny Contreras Cuzcano (senior judge, member of the Fifth Criminal Court of Appeals), Max Vengoa Valdiglesias (specialized judge, member of the Third Collegiate Criminal Court) and Jorge Chávez Tamariz (specialized judge, of the Seventh Preparatory Investigation Court).

The agreement, which must be sent soon to the Institutional Technical Team Unit (UETI) of the Criminal Procedure Code, proposes the conversion of jurisdictional bodies, among other measures, whose purpose is to offer a faster, more efficient delivery of justice service. , and respecting all guarantees.

The CSN has 24 jurisdictional bodies. Ten Preparatory Investigation Courts, 5 Criminal Appeals Chambers, 4 Temporary Liquidation Criminal Chambers and a Temporary Supraprovincial Liquidation Court. He is in charge of complex processes for serious crimes related to organized crime, corruption of officials, of national and international significance.
