The aim of this thematic program of the National Science Agenda (NWA) is to develop knowledge for policy that helps governments to deal appropriately with the long-term effects of digitalization of society.
A large part of our lives takes place online, which results in a range of developments that affect citizens of all ages. How do we strengthen their resilience and what role can companies, organizations and governments play in the online society? The four research projects look at the risk of manipulation and violence, for example, at care and housing of the elderly, at health, equality of opportunity and safety in Rotterdam and at youth whose brains develop differently. Each project involves a diverse group of partners in the consortia.
