indonesian pilots, Anton Gobay, was arrested in the Philippines after illegally purchasing firearms (senpi) in one of the country’s provinces. The national police team has now arrived in Manila, Philippines.
“When the police team arrived in Manila, they immediately moved to the Indonesian Embassy to consolidate with the ranks of the Indonesian Embassy in Manila, while receiving guidance from the Indonesian Ambassador.” National Police Intermediate Division Chief Inspector General Krishna Murti told reporters on Wednesday (11/1/2023).
Krishna said the National Police team is currently coordinating with the Philippine National Police.
“The National Police team will later meet with the Philippine National Police (Philippine National Police) in the scope of cooperation in handling Indonesian nationals on behalf of AG who are currently detained in the area of Sarangan Province, after being arrested by the Apgakum Filipino for being involved in a case of alleged use of illegal firearms that may be smuggled into Indonesia,” continued Krishna.
Anton Gobay is known to have purchased the illegal firearms from someone using an alias in the Danao City, Cebu Province, Philippines area. Anton Gobay owned 10 long barreled and 2 short barreled guns with no ammunition.
“In the form of 10 caliber (5.56 millimeters) M4-type long-barreled rifles worth 50,000 pesos without ammunition,” Kadiv Hubinter Inspector General Polri Krishna Murti said when prompted by detik.com on Wednesday (11/1/2023).
Krishna said the price of 50,000 pesos was for the purchase of an M4 rifle. “Unit,” he said.
