National Police Launch Operation Safety 2024 Targeting 11 Traffic Violations Across Indonesia

The National Police’s Traffic Corps (Korlantas) is holding the 2024 Safety Operation simultaneously throughout Indonesia. The 2024 Safety Operation will be implemented starting today, Monday (4/3/2024).

Operation Safety 2024 targets 11 types of traffic violations. Traffic violators will be ticketed using manual tickets or electronic traffic law enforcement (ETLE).

Quoted from the official National Police Public Relations website, the Head of Operations for the National Police Traffic Corps, Commissioner Eddy Djunaedi, said that later all violations would be dealt with by officers manually or electronically using static or mobile electronic traffic law enforcement (ETLE). Eddy appealed to motorists to always obey traffic rules and signs.

“The National Police Traffic Corps appeals to the public to complete their driving documents,” he said.

Operation Safety 2024 will be held for two weeks. This activity will start from March 4 2024 to March 17 2024. Operation Safety 2024 will be held simultaneously throughout Indonesia.

11 violations of Operation Safety targets 2024:

The amount of fines for traffic tickets is adjusted to Law no. 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation. Depending on the violation, the ticket fine can reach IDR 1 million (for violations of underage drivers who do not have a driver’s license).
