TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The police doctor at the Bhayangkara Polri Kramat Jati Hospital found common characteristics shared by the seven bodies found in the Bekasi River, on Sunday, September 22 2024. The Chief of Yandokpol, Kramat Jati Police Hospital, said that similar physical symptoms shared. with all the bodies.

“From the first examination, the seven bodies had the same characteristics, (that is) one was immersed in water. The decomposition process had also begun,” said Commissioner Dr. Hery Wijatmoko, Sunday, September 22 2024.

Bodies submerged in water at low temperatures begin to rot when evacuated to land. Seeing the physical condition of the bodies, Hery believed that the bodies had been in the waters of the Bekasi River for at least 24 hours.

The hospital admitted that time was needed to identify the bodies. “Thinking that the body was submerged in water, a process was needed to take fingerprints,” said Hery.
