jpnn.com, JAKARTA – National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo stated that his agency would be transparent and objective in investigating the shootout case at the house of the Head of the National Police Propam Division, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo.
The shootout took place between Brigadier J with Bharada E on Friday (8/7) which killed J as the personal driver of the wife of the National Police Propam Division Head, Putri Ferdy Sambo.
“We are confident that the National Police will carry out all these processes in an objective, transparent and accountable manner,” said Listyo Sigit at the National Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Tuesday (12/7).
General Listyo said that the handling of the case was carried out seriously by involving a joint team that would oversee the investigation, investigation, and other matters so that they could be held accountable to the public.
Police chief has formed a special joint team led by the Deputy Chief of Police together with the Inspector of General Supervision (Irwasum), Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, Kabaintelkam, Assistant to the National Police Chief in the field of HR, as well as involving the functions of the Provos and Paminal.
The special team will also involve Polri’s external partners, namely the National Police Commission (Kompolnas) and Komnas HAM.
National Police Chief Reveals 2 Cases at Inspector General Ferdy Sambo’s House
The National Police Chief General Listyo also revealed that there were two cases investigated in a shootout incident at a private residence Inspector General Ferdy Sambo.
According to Listyo, the two police reports, the first related to attempted murder and the second related to threats of violence against women or Article 289 of the Criminal Code.
