Police chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo officially removed Brigadier General Hendra Kurniawan from his position as Karo Paminal of the National Police Propam Division. This step was taken because Hendra was being investigated in the case of the death of Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat or Brigadier J.
The mutation against Hendra was stated in the telegram number 1628/VIII/KEP/2022 dated August 4, 2022.
“Polri Brigadier General Hendra Kurniawan Karo Paminal Divpropam Polri has been transferred to Pati Yanma Polri,” said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo to reporters, Thursday (4/8).

The position left by Hendra is now filled by Brigadier General Anggoro Sukartono. Anggoro previously served as Karo Wabprof of the National Police Propam Division.
Dedi explained that the mutation for Hendra was because he was being investigated for alleged unprofessionalism in the case of Brigadier Joshua’s death.
“Those who were transferred as Pamen Yanma Polri are in the status of the investigation process by the irsus timsus,” he said.
“If there is evidence of a violation of ethics, it will be examined, if it is proven that a criminal violation, such as the National Police Chief, will be processed according to the procedure,” he added.
Previously, Brigadier General Hendra Kurniawan was mentioned as the person who forbade Brigadier J’s family to see the body.
Brigadier J’s attorney, Johnson Pandjaitan, said Hendra sent Brigadier J’s body and intimidated the family by forbidding them to open the coffin.
On the other hand, the Main Investigator of the Divpropam Polri Kombes Leonardo Simatupang claimed that he was the one who delivered Brigadier J’s body to the family. He said Hendra was not present when the body was handed over to the family.
