Labuan Bajo, NTT (ANTARA) – The National Police Chief, Listyo Sigit Prabowo, has emphasized the importance of ensuring public comfort while securing the 42nd ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province. To ease transportation for heads of state and other invited delegates during the international event, the police plan to apply route diversion and counterflow traffic engineering at several locations. Some deployed personnel will use residents’ homes for accommodation.
It is vital for police personnel to maintain good interaction and communication with the community, and always be a figure who is close to and loved by the public, as this will result in full support from the public in the security of the summit. This event is crucial to generate strategic decisions and encourage economic growth in the Southeast Asian region, while also providing a multiplier effect in Labuan Bajo, NTT, and Indonesia as a whole.
Furthermore, it is essential for personnel to avoid any actions that could harm the reputation of the institution and maintain a positive impression. With the summit taking place from May 9-11, 2023, it is crucial that the police prioritize public comfort while ensuring the security of the event. The public’s support is vital to the success of the summit, as it generates strategic decisions that will benefit the Southeast Asian region’s economic growth and provide a multiplier effect in Labuan Bajo, NTT, and Indonesia as a whole.
