National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo provide the latest directives to all ranks of the National Police, starting with the Chief Officers (PJU), the Chief of the Regional Police, the Chief of Police, to the Chief of Police across Indonesia. He asked his staff to follow up on the directives of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) which was delivered a few days ago.
The police chief’s order was delivered via video conference at the National Police Headquarters in South Jakarta on Tuesday (18/10). The briefing follows a direct briefing by President Jokowi to the ranks of the Indonesian National Police on Friday (14/10).
“Obviously it is my duty to remember again and at the same time to clarify so that subsequent colleagues can become the same in one step, an action to implement what is the directive cited by the President”, said Sigit opening his briefing as in his statement, Wednesday (18/01) 10/2022).

Sigit does not deny that the Indonesian National Police Institute has recently faced a difficult situation and various problems. Therefore, you said that solidity, mutual concern, mutual assistance and support from the police level to the police headquarters or the national police station were needed to continue to carry out the task of protecting, nurturing and serving well.
“We always instill this as our cult and I am sure that if we are all united, from the police station to the police station we will do the same thing, we hope that in a short time we can recover soon. The President’s directions were clear yesterday and I think this is an order of the highest leadership that we must carry out, “he said.
“The next is how then we do it well on the pitch, which is not clear enough to ask so that then there are no doubts, avoid violations, multiply good deeds and results,” added Sigit.
Additionally, Sigit pointed out that anyone who doesn’t have the same commitment and enthusiasm is welcome to step off the carriage.
“This obviously has to be our commitment and I ask that we all be together, our carriage is the same, so if you can’t follow this, your choice is to get off the carriage or I’ll get it out,” Sigit said.
“This is our work, this is our concern, but I believe that with hard work, with solidarity, with the spirit of solidity, we are all capable of overcoming it,” he added.
Jokowi gives directions to the police
Previously, President Jokowi summoned police officers to the Merdeka Palace last Friday. At that time, Jokowi gave directions, including the lavish lifestyle of the Polri officials who were in the spotlight.
Jokowi warned Polri officials to be careful not to flaunt their lifestyle. Jokowi asked Polri officials not to be so brave to avoid extortion.
