National Palace of Fine Arts Showcases Avant-Garde Creators in Dominican Republic Art Exhibitions

The National Palace of Fine Arts presents over 200 pieces by 70 avant-garde creators, who explore different themes in various exhibitions, including painting, sculpture, installations and digital video .

At the Banco de Reservas Cultural Center, the exhibition “Dejando Huellas” is still open this weekend, a tribute to the famous Dominican artist Marcos Lora to the great masters of national art, and “Entre Movimientos” is the tribute to ethnic art who has the Arte. San Ramon Gallery.

Likewise, the Museum of Modern Art presents the exhibition “Cengal saogh”, which stands out for its diversity and innovation with two of the most revolutionary art exhibitions of recent times: digital art and NFT performance, as well as pieces of painting and sculpture.

As part of the installation of “Linking Worlds”, the Brazilian artist Beth Moysés made an exhibition in tribute to the Mirabal sisters (murdered during the dictatorship of the Dominican Rafael Leónidas Trujillo, 1930-1961) and to non-violence against women .

Also the Swiss Simon Berger made his exhibition “Hispaniola, Iguana”, and the American artist Courtney Smith presented her work “Gira-Sol”.
