National Meteorological Office Forecasting Afternoon Showers in Several Areas of the Dominican Republic

The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) expected this Saturday that some after noon waters in different parts of the Dominican Republic due to the humidity in the air and the effect of a bath.

He pointed out that the waters affect El Seibo, Hato Mayor, Monte Plata, Samaná, Duarte, Sánchez Ramírez, La Vega, Monseñor Nouel, San Cristóbal, San José de Ocoa, Azua, San Juan, Elías Piña, Dajabón, Independencia, Bahoruco, among other areas.

The institution indicated that this rainfall will decrease gradually during the night throughout the area.

On the other hand, for tomorrow, Sunday, a decrease in humidity in the air is expected, which could improve the intensity and frequency of precipitation.

However, it is expected that there will be an increase in clouds in the afternoon which will cause scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms until the early hours of the night, especially in towns in the north-east, south-west, mountain range in central and Cibao Valley.

For Monday, a very sunny and hot environment is expected, with possible precipitation in the form of isolated showers and eventual thunderstorms towards the northeast and the Central mountain range, associated with the influence of the daily cycle.
