Press release – During the 5th edition of the National Legal Education Weekwith the support of the Quebec Bar, the legal community is moving from November 4 to 8 to hold workshops in the classrooms.
With the arrival of the new Quebec Culture and Citizenship (CCQ) course, legal education is becoming more important this year. The Éducaloi team wants to reach more than 6,000 students across Quebec.
Hundreds of lawyers will visit classes to promote legal education, to allow young people to think, compare their views and take a stand on legal issues that affect them on a daily basis.
They lead the Éducaloi workshop Choose your side! with discussion topics such as:
- Do I have the right to post a photo on Facebook or Instagram without asking permission from the people in the photo?
- Am I allowed to date someone over 18 if I’m a young man?
- Does the school principal have the power to search lockers whenever he wants?
- Should cosmetic surgery be banned for young people?

Éducaloi is committed throughout the year to creating turnkey workshops as well as educational resources for teachers, all free of charge. In the school environment, classroom workshops and the educational resources generating interest and gaining recognition.
Finally, let us emphasize that Éducaloi is a source of information and knowledge for several organizations. In fact, the organization has started a community of practice in legal education, bringing together around ten organizations and institutions, known as the Legal Education Network.
