(New York) Shohei Ohtani set the tone with a home run as the game’s first batter and the Los Angeles Dodgers took a 3-1 lead in the NL Championship Series on Thursday, inflicting a tough 10-2 defeat to the New York Mets.

Ohtani also drew three walks; he ended up scoring every time.

Mookie Betts added a two-run homer and an equally productive double.

The two-goal made it 5-2 in the fourth; the long ball came in the sixth.

Game 5 will take place on Friday evening, once again at Citi Field. A packed house of 43,882 fans were there on Thursday.

Tommy Edman drove in three runs including a double that scored Ohtani in the third to break the 1-1 deadlock.

Mark Vientos of the Mets hit his fourth home run since the start of the series.
