Guwahati കേരള On the first day of the National Junior Athletic Meet, which set 3 national records, Kerala won only one gold and 2 silver. Ansi Sojan of Thrissur Natika Academy won the gold in the under-20 girls’ long jump (6.20m). In the under-16 girls’ long jump, the playwright E.S. Shivapriya (5.45m) and KP, an eighth class student of Wayanad Valery GHSS in the under-14 boys’ ball throw. Vishnu (67.71m) also won silver.
Uttarakhand’s Ankita Dayani (16: 21.19 minutes), Uttar Pradesh’s Anurag Singh (20.16m) and Karnataka’s Pavana Nagaraj (1.73m) set national records in the men’s under – 20 and 5000m respectively.
Pavana Nagaraj is the daughter of former national record holder Jethri Sahanakumari.
