That 19e national day was marked by 3 away victories, but also 3 big roustes and the good deal of Dax against Soyaux-Angoulême. Thanks to Rugby Newsfind everything you need to remember, but also the reactions on all the stages.
The big hits: Bourgoin and Albi
FINALLY ! Bourgoin holds it: on the Cognac/St-Jean d’Angély site, the CSBJ won its first away game this season (16-17). And this one is worth its weight in gold, since it was on the occasion of the clash between the last two of the championship. Bourgoin, who scored two tries by Nonkontwana and Tripier, took advantage to get out of the relegation zone.
Another great away win: that ofAlbi in Chambery (10-16). Led at the break (10-6), the SCA was able to react with a try from Essid as soon as they returned from the locker room. Hooked, tough, the match finally fell into the hands of the Tarn with a final penalty from Vidal (78e), which at the same time caused the SOC to lose the defensive bonus.
The disappointment: Blagnac
So yes, RC Suresnes is known to be a very playful team, and when they are on fire in attack, they can do a lot of damage. But taking 63 points is a stain for this team of Blagnac who is eyeing a qualifying spot for the finals.
Led 20-0 at the break, the Hauts-Garonne completely dropped the case by following, cashing in all and for all 8 tries. Now 9e9 points from the 6e place, Blagnac got into trouble for the end of the season. It will be very interesting to see the face displayed next weekend against Valence-Romans.
National: results of the 19th day

Dax – Soyaux-Angouleme: 28-23
Aubenas – Valence-Romans: 3-20
Nice – Tarbes : 50-6
Suresnes-Blagnac: 63-14
Chambery – Albi: 10-16
Cognac/Saint-Jean-d’Angély – Bourgoin-Jallieu: 16-17

Locker room noises…
We win a victory on the wire after a very tense and tense match. Here is finally an away victory which does a lot of good.
The boys were very frustrated with the defeat at Valence-Romans. They also want to finish as best as possible together for this 2nd season in National. The staff prepared this meeting very well and the result is a great reward. The road is long and difficult, but this victory is very important for the future.
We are of course very happy to take 5 points against a revamped Dijon team. There is also satisfaction in terms of game intentions. In this volume, we must continue to advance in the requirement and precision to gain efficiency
We are now the first non-relegation. What happened in Nice does not interest me! A new championship of 5 teams begins for us where each point will count and I am very determined to take up this challenge.
It was a very important match for us and the club project. The whole group was aware of the importance of this match, and everyone brought their added value. We are really proud of the content and the result. The end of the block is going to be very hard and intense, so we have to enjoy today but prepare for the rest tomorrow.
There was a lot of movement and intensity in this game. We were able to meet this challenge, and we are happy with the second half in which we made the difference. We have a major reception next week, so we’re switching quickly.
I’m ashamed of the image that we gave of our club! I apologize to our elders, youth, leaders, supporters and partners. In this match, we lacked everything, conviction, commitment, a conquering state of mind, rebellion. We cheated and lied to each other. We did not lay the groundwork to hope for anything in this sport.
We showed the most beautiful face possible. Some speak of reference match. So yes, it’s probably the benchmark match for our team since the start of the year. We were expecting a very close match between two teams of the same level, but the boys were able to free themselves and give pleasure to all our supporters, and also to themselves. Now we have to come down from our cloud and prepare for the end of this championship with 7 more games, starting with a delicate trip to Albi, a team in great shape at the moment.
