The Government Spokesperson for the Covid-19 Vaccination Program, Siti Nadia Tarmizi said that Indonesia still had to face various health issues, such as infectious and non-communicable diseases to the problem of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Various diseases have been prevented by the government, besides that we have also appealed to the public to always be vigilant, including even non-communicable diseases,” said Nadia, Friday (11/12/2021).
Non-communicable diseases such as heart disease, cancer and others will usually be caused by an unhealthy lifestyle.
According to Nadia, it can be prevented by changing a healthier lifestyle and moving on. In accordance with the theme raised on the national health day in 2021, not only the government but the community must also participate in improving health in Indonesia by always protecting themselves from various diseases.
“Keep the spirit to work together and collaborate, not only to face the pandemic but for various other diseases,” he said.
Regarding the pandemic, our condition has indeed decreased and is gradually improving, but don’t be careless because the pandemic can increase again at any time.
Furthermore, the vaccination program and the implementation of health protocols must also continue. Not only vaccines for Covid-19, but vaccines for other diseases must also be carried out.
“We have to re-observe other health services such as immunization, HIV, malaria and maternal and child health, which still have to be achieved,” said Nadia. [KM-102]
