National Guard Implements Safe Passenger Operation in the State of Mexico

In compliance with the National Public Security Strategy and in response to reports from citizens of the State of Mexico, members of the National Guard (GN) implement the Safe Passenger operation at user pick-up and drop-off points on the Mexico-Pachuca highway.

With the aim of inhibiting the commission of robbery against passengers, the carrying of weapons or objects that could be used to commit a crime, in addition to avoiding disturbances to public order, the national guards establish traveling checkpoints at bus stops such as Santa María Tulpetlac, Las Banderas, 5 de Mayo, Clinic 200 and San Diego.

The personnel belonging to the State Coordination of the National Guard in the State of Mexico requests truck, minibus, van or taxi operators to stop their march to carry out preventive inspections; In accordance with the social proximity model, they identify with the users and request authorization to carry out a search of their belongings.

During the implementation of the Safe Passenger operation, which is carried out during the day and night in coordination with the authorities of the State of Mexico, citizens are also invited to call the telephone number 088, if they require support in the event of an emergency.

The National Guard reaffirms its commitment to ensure the well-being of citizens, contributing to the Government of Mexico and the authorities of the country’s entities to guarantee the peace and security of the population.
