The government of Nicolás Maduro pays tribute at the Casa Amarilla to the former minister and former president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Tibisay Lucena, after her death at the age of 63.
During the afternoon of this Wednesday, the burning chapel of the former Minister of University Education, also rector of the National Experimental University of the Arts and former president of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Tibisay Lucena, began in the Sucre room of the Yellow House in Caracas.
The first guard was made up of Vice President Delcy Rodríguez and the Ministers of the Interior and Justice, Remigio Ceballos; Electric Power, Néstor Reverol; of Planning, Ricardo Menéndez, and Gabriela Jiménez, of Science and Technology.
The Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, expressed the feelings of the official sector for the loss of the former president of the Electoral Power and said: “Her departure is deeply painful.”
“This pain that we feel today, that the Venezuelan people feel, that we all feel, because we recognize in Tibisay a unique woman, an exceptional Republican, an outstanding woman who led an Electoral Power in the most oppressive hours that our Republic has experienced” declared Delcy Rodríguez.
