This project took an important step with the formalization of the donation of the property that the National Mining Agency gave to the Popular University of Cesar. In that 3.5 hectare property, located in the municipality of The Jagua of Ibirico, The central headquarters of the department will be built.

The Minister of Education, Aurora Vergarahe pointed: “With this step a new chapter opens in the educational history of the Cesarwhere youth will be able to access an education more focused on the transition towards a fairer and more sustainable energy”.
The property delivered by the ANM It has an area of 3.5 hectares and is valued at more than 4.2 billion pesos. This property is part of the Educational Infrastructure Plan as the center of community life driven by the Ministry of Education and it means a step forward in the process of consolidating a new university headquarters that will benefit not only The Jagua of Ibiricobut also to the surrounding municipalities of Becerril, El Paso, Chiriguaná and Codazzi.
