The Council of Agriculture unveiled its plaque today to officially upgrade the Ministry of Agriculture. Political figures from various units, representatives of agriculture, fishery and animal husbandry, and youth farmers attended the celebration. However, the National Farmers Association did not send representatives to attend this time, nor did they send flower baskets. It will be caused by long-term hostility. Zhang Yongcheng, director-general of the National Farmers Association, said that to commemorate the establishment of the Ministry of Agriculture, he ordered 20,000 bottles of Matsu Chen Gao commemorative wine earlier to show greater sincerity, and the reason why he did not participate was because he “did not receive the invitation letter from the Ministry of Agriculture.”

All walks of life were invited to attend the unveiling ceremony of the Ministry of Agriculture today. In addition to Vice President Lai Qingde and Premier Chen Jianren, former executive heads of the Tsai administration, legislators, and former chairmen of the Council of Agriculture Chen Baoji, Peng Zuokui, Chen Zhiqing, and Lin Congxian were all present.

Many local peasant associations and heads of counties and cities failed to send representatives to attend. Taoyuan Mayor Zhang Shanzheng and Yunlin County Mayor Zhang Lishan expressed their highest appreciation by sending flower baskets. However, the National Farmers Association did not attend this time. The long-term disagreement between the National Farmers’ Association and the Council of Agriculture, coupled with the drastic changes in the re-election of the directors of the North Farmers, caused the relationship between the two parties to take a turn for the worse, resulting in no flower baskets being sent.

“These speculations are really unnecessary,” Zhang Yongcheng, director general of the National Farmers Association, revealed that the invitation letter from the Ministry of Agriculture was only sent to specific people. I received an invitation letter, but I was unable to go because of another schedule. It seemed that I had not received an invitation letter.

Zhang Yongcheng said that sending flower baskets is a very formal thing. So many people have sent flower baskets. The Ministry of Agriculture should not care whether a National Farmers’ Association sent them. For the establishment of the Ministry of Agriculture, the National Farmers’ Association specially sent flowers from the Matsu Winery. An order for 20,000 bottles of Matsu Chen Gao commemorative wine is expected to be delivered in September. The National Farmers Association has been preparing for this for a long time. This is more sincere than a short-lived flower basket. I believe everyone can see it.
