National Employment Fair for Youth Inclusion benefits more than 1,200 job seekers

50 companies offered more than 3,500 vacancies to attendees.

Monterrey, Nuevo Leon.- To promote the importance of young people in the labor field and bring inclusive opportunities to this sector, the National Job Fair for Labor Inclusion was held, attended by more than 1,200 job seekers who accessed the job offer of more than 3,500 vacancies from more than 3,500 companies in various fields.

Federico Rojas Veloquio, Secretary of Labor, accompanied by the Undersecretary of Training and Employment Arturo Cavazos Leal, the Director of Employment Luis Lauro Flores Sampogna and Erubiel César LeijaFranco, Municipal Secretary of Economic Development and Tourism, toured each of the stands, as well as exchanging impressions with job seekers about the opportunities not only of job exchanges, but also of training and certification that the Secretariat of Labor offers on an ongoing basis.

“The Ministry of Labor not only brings these employment opportunities to people, but also joins forces with ICET and the business sector to work together and offer ongoing training to the workforce with workshops, courses and certifications that update their knowledge in order to respond to new labor challenges.”

“Today we received a very good response from people, as people have not stopped coming to fill out their applications and review the job offers that companies are offering,” said Secretary of Labor Federico Rojas Veloquio.

The National Job Fair for Labor Inclusion was held within the framework of International Youth Day through the Ministry of Labor and the National Employment Service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS), in collaboration with the municipality of Escobedo, it took place at the ICET campus in the municipality of Escobedo where companies were present from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, with great acceptance.
