The Minister of National Education and Literacy, Mariatou Koné, took part on Monday October 21, 2024 in a webinar on the innovative financing mechanism in education.
At the initiative of UNICEF, each participant presented public policies aimed at reducing social inequalities, household costs as well as initiatives in terms of innovative financing mechanisms.
This platform was for the minister an opportunity to highlight the commitment of the Ivorian State to equitable access, particularly the institutional framework which underpins the principle of free education, the right to education for all and compulsory schooling.
Initiatives and measures linked to the PSGouv to reduce schooling costs for households were also presented. Finally, four innovative financing models were shared as well as the impacts on the Ivorian education system.
These are the Debt Reduction and Development Contract (C2D), the CLEF (Child learning and Education Facility) initiative, the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) Multiplier Fund and the For-Results Program. (P for R).
