National Education doctors are calling for the closure of all schools from Monday, February 8 for the duration of the February vacation in the three geographical areas, i.e. four weeks, in order to be able to cope with the circulation of the coronavirus in schools .

In a statement from the National Union of School and University Physicians (SNMSU-UNSA Education), released on Monday, doctors say the closure is aimed at “to slow the circulation of the virus in schools in order to try to avoid a closure which may be much longer in the context of confinement, which goes against the interest of the students”.
The majority union of National Education doctors recalls that students “are active links in the chain of transmission, especially since the appearance of new variants”. The presence of the virus in schools is “more and more strong”. Doctors warn about the number of schools that “run out” in the management of positive student cases or contact cases. Class or establishment closures “multiply”. They also point out that “the tasks of the ARS and the CPAM have been delegated to the health professionals of the National Education already overworked”.
