The National Dramatic Center and the Film Academy have started a collaboration that will allow them to join forces to promote their residency programs and activities related to cinema and theater. Thus, Both institutions will work together to strengthen the cultural sector and help each other.
The Dramatic and the Academy, together
The Film Academy and the National Dramatic Center join forces to develop activities in favor of relations between cinema and theater. Two forms of expression that have the same mission: to tell a story.
The two institutions start a collaboration to enhance their respective residency programs, generating a space that encourages the creation and development of projects.
The residents of both programs they will share some of the training and masterclasses given by theater and film professionals. And they will attend programmed activities in both organisms. Within the framework of this agreement, it is also intended to create synergies between residents. There are 20 in the joint project of the Academy and the Madrid City Council, and 4 by the Dramatic. Also encourage them to share ideas and future work. Attendance at the premiere of “O agora que delara” was the first joint action. This collaboration also includes carrying out actions. Between them, cycle of screenings, round tables, presentations and meetings, in which theater and cinema go hand in hand. In this context is the Tribute to set designer, costume designer, actor and theater and film director Gerardo Vera on February 8 at the María Guerrero Theater. The event will be attended by, among other personalities, Alfredo Sanzol, director of the National Dramatic Center, and Mariano Barroso, president of the Film Academy.
