The number of positive corona tests in Schiedam in the past 24 hours is higher than ever: as many as 94 Schiedam residents were officially told that they were infected with the corona virus. Nationally, there was a significant decrease: 8,740 new corona infections, more than a thousand fewer than yesterday.
In total, 2,685 inhabitants of Schiedam are now officially infected with the corona virus. The condition of 79 inhabitants of Schiedam was so bad that they had to be hospitalized. 27 people from Schiedam died as a result of a corona infection.
The total number of corona patients admitted to Dutch hospitals was 2,493 on Sunday, 45 more than Saturday. Of these, 1,910 are outside the Intensive Care Unit, 46 more than yesterday. There are 583 covid patients in the ICU (of which 2 in Germany), 1 less than the day before. There are also 446 non-covid patients in the ICU, 6 fewer than yesterday. The total IC occupancy thus amounts to 1,029 (of which 2 in Germany), 7 less than the previous day. The number of new covid admissions is 237 in the clinic and 58 in the ICU.
In the past 24 hours, 38 patients have been moved between regions, 3 of which are ICU patients.
