National Customer Day, PLN Gives 75% Discount on Adding Power to MSMEs

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – In order to celebrate National Customer Day in 2020, PT PLN (Persero) provides a 75 percent discount on connection costs (BP) plus power for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and small and medium industries (IKM).

PLN’s Director of Commerce and Customer Service, Bob Saril, explained that this program is valid from 4 September to 3 October 2020.

Discounts are given to customers of the low-voltage Business and Industry tariff groups ranging from 450 VA to 13,200 VA with a choice of final power up to 16,500 VA power.

“This is a form of PLN being present in the community, especially for UMKM and IKM players. This is done to provide super economical power added cost relief to help increase the productivity of MSMEs and SMEs amid the pandemic,” he said, in a written statement, Friday (4 / 9/2020).

Furthermore, Bob said, the large role of UMKM and IKM in the national economy was one of the main reasons for PLN to choose the two sectors to be given a reduction in the cost of added power.

“We want to provide more space for MSME / IKM customers from Sabang to Merauke to be able to increase their business with this super cheap service,” he said.

For information, the added power discount for customers with low household tariffs, starting from 450 VA to 4,400 VA, will also be valid until 30 September.

Customers in this class can add power up to 5,500 VA, by only spending Rp. 170,845.
