the 3e editing of the National Competition for the best students in Gabon was launched last weekend throughout the national territory. In the province of Estuaire, it is the director of the Provincial Academy, Fortune Nguema Owono, in the presence of the director of cabinet of the Minister of Education and the inspector general of services, Emmanuella Biyi Minko, representing the minister prevented, who kicked off the tests at the center of the compositions of the secondary school of the Center. This year, the competition, which takes place simultaneously in the nine provinces of the country, is experiencing great enthusiasm with the number of candidates increasing from 486 to 645 applicants. A figure that demonstrates the taste for effort that this award for excellence arouses.
Indeed, this initiative of the Head of State, Ali Bongo Ondimba, and shaped by the Minister of National Education, Carmelia Ntoutoume Leclercq, whose ideas converge towards this commitment to reward excellence through this competition which for its third consecutive year will highlight the work and skills of young Gabonese from primary to secondary school. “I must say that the enthusiasm is certain with an evolution in the number of candidates this year and for that, we thank the Head of State and the Minister of National Education”, underlined Fortune Nguema Owone. The director of the Provincial Academy of the Estuary made it clear that this competition is open to all Gabonese students in the intermediate classes from primary to secondary general, technical and vocational education. As for those of the examination classes, in particular 5e (primary), 3e and Terminale, they will be selected on the basis of the final results of the various exams. The results, which will be known at the beginning of July, will make it possible to reward the three best students. Encouragement prizes will be awarded by the President of the Republic, Ali Bongo Ondimba during a solemn ceremony.
