Kochi: Director Anand Ekarshi says it is strange that ‘Attam’, which won the National Award for Best Film in 2022, was rejected by the local jury. He said he was hurt by being defeated in the state awards, but he did not blame anyone. Anand was speaking at a function organized to celebrate the ‘Atta’ award. Pradeep Menon, executive producer and distributor, said that ‘Attam’ will hit the theaters again. The film will start screening at Kochi PVR on Tuesday.
Mahesh Bhuvanend, who won a national award for the film’s editing, actors Vinay Fort, Sarin Shihab, Kalabhavan Shajon, Nandan Unni, Madanbabu, Jolly Antony, Santhosh, Prashanth, Selvaraj, Sijin and the cast were present at the celebration.
