National and international table tennis players expected at the Montluçon tournament (Allier)

They are going to sit at the table and they have the fangs. They are the renowned table tennis players who will participate in the first edition of the international table tennis tournament of Montluçon (Allier), this Saturday June 4 and Sunday June 5, 2022, concocted by the ASPTT at the Sports Hall. On the program for these two days: between 230 and 240 players, divided into eighteen different tables. Including the main one, that of the Elites, which will have twenty-one competitors from national or even world level.

The four favorites

The number one seed will be none other than the Iranian Nima Alamian, licensed in France in La Romagne (Maine-et-Loire), 17th in the FFTT rankings and ex-60th in the world. He notably took part in two world championships, as well as the Tokyo Olympics, under the flag of Iran. And he will not be alone to represent his country, since his brother Noshad Alamiyan (n ° 36 FFTT), of the Breton club of Thorigné-Fouillard, who also has two Worlds to his credit, will be present at his side.

In front of them, let us quote among others Stéphane Ouaiche (Caen TTC), currently 7th best French player, crowned champion of France in 2014 and 2016, former 55th in the world and already winner twice of the Montluçon tournament (2017/2019), when that it was of national category. Finally, the quartet of favorites will be completed by the Bulgarian naturalized Italian Niagol Stoyanov, licensed in Caen TTC (Calvados) like Ouaiche. Ranked in 31st place FFTT, he has just been crowned Italian champion 2022.
