Mexico City. The more than 40 billion dollars of investment planned for the remainder of 2024 and 2025 correspond to investments from the foreign and national private sector, explained the virtual president-elect, Claudia Sheinbaum, who added that, in addition, the Mexican State will allocate public resources for railway, housing, water, highway and energy projects for the coming year.
“Yesterday (Tuesday) I mentioned that the national and foreign private sector has planned short-term investments in Mexico for 40 billion dollars. In addition, in 2025 we will invest with public resources in trains, housing, water, roads, highways and energy. We will continue to boost the economy from below with welfare programs and better salaries. With the moral economy, republican austerity and honesty we will continue to move Mexico forward, reducing poverty and inequalities,” he said today on his social networks.
On Wednesday morning, the future president held meetings with Adán Augusto López Hernández, who is expected to take over as Morena’s coordinator in the Senate for the next legislative session, and the next Secretary of Education, Mario Delgado.
The Morena senator for Tamaulipas, Guadalupe Covarrubias, also attended the event, saying that she came to discuss issues related to that state, including the issue of security, an area in which she assured that progress has been made in that state.
Asked about the recent murder of the president of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce (Fecanaco) in Tamaulipas, Julio Almanza Armas, the Morena senator for that entity, Covarrubias said that “well, that is what I suddenly tell you happens, we are doing well and suddenly something like this comes up. It is being seen that there is more tranquility and security, but suddenly something pops up there, and this was one of them. Very bad, of course I see it very bad but this is not over yet.”
The legislator was not received at the transition house as she did not have a scheduled appointment, and she stated that she will be summoned later.
