The local representative for the National Action Party, Ana Paola López Birlain, revealed that by next year 2024, she will seek to work on an initiative to reform and update the Art and Culture Law of the state of Querétaro.
The legislator indicated that her intention is to establish channels, forums, meetings and dialogues with sectors involved in these areas, in order to define the characteristics that this law should have, to modernize it and adapt it to the current reality.
“The first thing we have to do is open the microphones to this sector and to the different authorities that also execute or are affected by the law, to see what is possible and what is not possible. Subsequently, we will be considering and evaluating whether to make a new law, or to update certain articles where things that would have a greater impact could be included,” he said.
For this reason, he commented that it is not ruled out to propose the creation of a registry of artists in the state, or to determine budget items, according to the needs expressed by each sector of this great art and culture scene in the entity.
