In this period conducive to reflection on collective risks, let’s tackle a subject that would be considered taboo in other circumstances. The Quebec Ministry of Education is preparing to replace the course Ethics and Religious Culture through a course where citizenship education will rub shoulders with other subjects such as digital, legal and sexuality education (Marco Fortier, Le Devoir, January 10, 2020). To citizenship education, I would like to offer a necessary complement: practical training in civil defense.
