Against Bourg-de-Péage, the highway to victory opened up at Blanzat Sport Montluçon (Allier) this Saturday evening, May 7… The BSM indeed won in its Sports Hall (36-29), against the reserve team of D1 Drôme, on behalf of the 25th and penultimate day of National 1. A great way, too, to celebrate the last home game of the season. And the last at home also for coach Franck Arbonville, who will leave the club at the end of the exercise.
The first half
It is also the locals who will have started the best last night (5-2, 6th; 9-7, 13th). Before severely stalling and cashing in a scathing 7-0 in eight minutes (9-14, 21st). Taking advantage of the opposing procrastination, the young Péageoises made their explosiveness speak for themselves. In particular those of the winger Rouly and the half-center Pin (7 goals each in the end).
Fortunately, the Bourbonnaises reacted and in turn inflicted a rough 8-2 on the visitors. To reach the break on the score of 17 to 16.

The second half
Better, the Montluçonnaises continued their momentum in the second period. Especially since their replacement door Hudry turned into a guardian angel and flew over the debates with fourteen (!) saves. Opposite, with only nine girls on the sheet, Bourg ended up marking time.
Enough to allow the Auvergnates to go from 25-25 (47th) to 30-25 (52nd), with a lot of goals signed Kyrilkidou (11), Marty (8) or Kanté (6). Finally, in a meeting with no stake in the standings for the two teams, the BSM won by seven goals (36-29) and consolidated its seventh place (7th out of 14, 48 pts)… In short, seven extra.
