Governor Juan Schiaretti participated in the rehabilitation of the sewer system of the city of San Francisco. He did so in an act led by President Alberto Fernández, who from the municipality of Almirante Brown, opened 30 works throughout the country.
The work as a whole involved the reconstruction and expansion of the existing Plant, the reinforcement and construction of a new Maximum Sewer and a South Collector, benefiting 80,000 inhabitants of the city of the department of San Justo, with an investment that amounted to 28.2 million dollars.
“The expansion of the San Francisco sewage plant and the two trunk collectors that we jointly finance the National State and the Province of Córdoba, today comes to an end. That is a great joy for all Cordobes because sewer works are those that cannot be seen, but they are central to people’s health and to care for the environment and ecology ”, the first provincial president began.
And continued: ”This sewer plan that we have been developing for three years was financed by the National State, which provided two thirds and the Province of Córdoba provided one third. I especially want to thank because San Francisco is a city founded geographically in a hollow, so the water tables are very high and that is why it was necessary to finish the drains and sewage service for all the neighbors ”, he concluded.
The Governor was accompanied by the Lieutenant Governor, Manuel Calvo; the local mayor, Ignacio García Aresca; the Minister of Public Services, Fabián López; and the Secretary of Public Works of the Nation, Martín Gill, from the city of San Francisco.
To its turn, the national secretary of Public Works, Martín Gill, He stated: “We put as a priority the completion and reactivation of three central works in the province of Córdoba that have been working for a long time and that are works that provide quality of life for our people, our neighbors: the Río Cuarto treatment plant, the Bajo Grande treatment plant in the City of Córdoba and this plant and the reinforcement of the trunk lines in the town of San Francisco, one of the most important agri-food corridors in the country. Today we are making it happen, and we will make the other two come true as well ”.
Also, the Mayor García Aresca He highlighted: “I have to congratulate for the work that is being done in public works and especially for our community of San Francisco. Achieving this that was so important and longed for for so long, gives us the possibility toe have a work of more than 28 million dollars, which is the expansion of the maximum sewer and the South collector. I think they are works that are often not seen because they are underground, but it really gives us a benefit and quality of life for each of the neighbors ”.
