Malaga, Mar 6 (EFE) .- Nathalie Poza won her second Goya this Saturday, this time as best supporting actress, for her role as Violeta, the independent, confident and triumphant sister of Rosa, the star of “The wedding of Rosa “, by Iciar Bollaín.
The actress wanted to dedicate the award to her mother, who has been “alone at home for many months” and to “all the public who have filled the halls and theaters”.
“There is nothing that makes us happier than you come to see us,” pointed out Poza, who greeted the other nominees in this category, including her “soul friend” Juana Acosta, and assured that she was “very happy “to be nominated with them.
Poza, who competed for this award with Juana Acosta (“The inconvenience”), Natalia de Molina (“The girls”) and Verónica Echegui (“Explode, explode”), has been nominated for the Goya five more times – in all its categories -, and took it in 2018 as the star of “I don’t know how to say goodbye”, by Lino Escalera.
In “Rosa’s Wedding” Poza plays a senior executive accustomed to having her sister for everything, overloading her especially with her father’s care; his drinking problems will put him on a trigger that ultimately helps him better understand his sister’s need to “marry” herself.
