After ‘A real job’, VTM now also has a program that could have been called ‘The cleanest job’. The real title: ‘Paradise is looking for staff’. In it, Nathalie Meskens (39) is looking for a suitable duo to run a paradisiacal hotel in Zanzibar.

Zanzibar, that is with the ‘z’ of sun, sea and sand. And there is also a resort that is bathed in luxury, but for which staff still have to be found. Enter Nathalie Meskens, who was there in the VTM program Paradise is looking for staff will lend a helping hand. Several unknown duos can pack their bags to the tropical island and test all aspects of the hotel business. If you don’t pass, you can repack your bags and go home. Whoever turns out to have the best qualities at the end can run the luxury resort for a year.
In the meantime, the recordings have started and Nathalie Meskens is in sun-drenched Zanzibar. “A dream job abroad is something that many people long for. But for many it remains an unattainable, unrealistic dream. We are changing that with this program. The luxurious boutique resort is looking for a new management duo.”
It is also an adventure for Meskens. At the beginning of September, she gave birth to her second child, son Loé. “It’s special to do this with an eight week old baby who is breastfed every two to three hours. Even on an African island. But it’s something different than a dark TV studio. I think the recordings can take a while.”(eadp)
