Dince 2007, the large site of the dune du Pilat has been administered by a mixed union. It brings together three communities: the Gironde department, the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region and the city of La Teste de Buch. Two representatives from each of the three communities sit on the Union Council, ie six members. This Union Council has just re-elected this Wednesday morning as its president, for a second six-year term, the regional councilor (PS) Nathalie Le Yondre (and mayor of Audenge), by four votes to two to the mayor (LR) of La Test Patrick Davet who was also a candidate.
