In this interview with her, Natasha talks about her recent work, her credit, what she plans to do, her experience in Egyptian drama, and also about her dreams in cinema.
What has been keeping you busy lately after your Ramadan appearance in the series “Safar Barlak”?
– I participate in the series “Special Arrangement” with Maxim Khalil, Carole Al-Hajj, Lynn Gharrah, and Fouad Yammine, and with us is the great artist Abbas Al-Nouri as a guest of honour. The series takes place in only 10 episodes and is directed by Mayar Al-Nouri. It is a beautiful social work during which I play the role of “Rima”, a new character that I have never seen before. I’ve done it before and I’m excited about it.
How do you evaluate your work in the series “Safar Barlak” last Ramadan?
– The series is a very important experience in my career, during which I played a character who is closest to me ever because “Hana” is very similar to me. She is educated and always busy with reading. She is smart and spends most of her time in the library, and although she lives in a comfortable environment, she is not spoiled.
The most difficult challenge
You presented a difficult character in the first part of the series “Dakka Al-Ubaid”… What about its importance in your artistic credit?
– I consider the character “Toujan” in the series “Dakka Al-Ubaid” the most difficult challenge in my career, and I consider it the most important of my works. In the first part of the events, she appeared to have innocence and naivety because she lives in a mountainous area where the mountains and forests of the Caucasus are, and the dialogue is in English, and she is exposed to blow after blow, which makes her… It changes at the end of the events of the first part and undergoes transformations in the second part. I am proud of my participation in this global historical human drama project, which included more than 200 actors from 10 nationalities of the world and discusses the issue of capturing people and turning them into slaves in 5 different regions of the world. I participated in the line The Caucasus region, and I was very happy to be part of this great artistic project.
How do you develop your talent and tools as an actress?
– I know that I always need to learn and gain experience, and because I studied media, I have been keen since my beginnings to join acting workshops and classes, and I ask every artist I work with and learn from, and I am not ashamed of that. I am also keen to watch the work of distinguished stars who have talent and experience so that I can learn from them, and I am not ashamed of that. From criticizing myself and confronting my mistakes in order to develop my talent and progress and become better, and with the many artistic experiences, I believe that I have become more mature.
How do you evaluate your limited experiences so far in Egyptian drama?
– Egyptian actors and actresses participated in joint Arab works such as the series “Circles of Love.” I also participated in the series “Light Black” with Haifa Wehbe and a number of Egyptian stars. I participated in the series “Amber 6,” and my last experience was the series “The Eight” with the Egyptian director Ahmed. I praised.
Imprints and ambitions
Do you aspire to make a strong cinematic move in the next stage?
– Certainly, because cinema creates for the artist a deeper history and stronger stardom, and I have limited experiences, which is the film “Tarouqa in Beirut” in the year 2015, and I presented the film “Missing” in 2020, and I dream of cinema with many names of stars and major directors in Egypt and the Arab world.
What about your most important imprints and what you think are the works that stuck in the minds of your viewers?
– I consider myself lucky with a huge number of successful and prominent works in my career, the most important of which are “Al-Haiba, Shahbandar’s Daughter, What Is In Me, A Secret, Innocent But, Dareen, Love is Madness, and The Eight” and most recently “Dakka Al-Ubaid and Safar Barlak.”
