Chennai: T Natarajan has made his dream debut for the Indian cricket team. Natarajan is the first Indian to make his debut in all formats on a single tour. The Tamil Nadu native is also expected to perform well throughout the series. But Natarajan has now revealed his grief over being left out of the squad for the first two Tests against England.
‘It’s absolutely sad not to be part of the team. Especially after being with the team for the last few months. But I understand that it is important to take a break. I’m glad I did not spend time with my family for the last six months. But I regret not being able to be with the Indian team when they play in Chennai. ‘ – Natarajan said.
Wants to play in all formats and will work hard accordingly. This is the first time in his life that he has played for six long months. Natarajan said he did not feel the workload in the IPL and Australia as he had been training continuously during the lockdown.
The first Test against England starts on Friday. The first two Tests will be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. The players of both the teams, who are Kovid negative, went down for training from Tuesday. The English team is confident of sweeping the series 2–0 against Sri Lanka. Team India is excited to win the legendary series on Australian soil.
