Natanael Cano is on everyone’s lips, firstly for his sold out concert at the GNP Seguros Stadium in Mexico City, which was broadcast on Disney+. But also, for the controversy he has had with the law in recent times.
A few days ago, Natanael Cano was charged with the alleged crime of bribery, according to the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Sonora. Despite this legal situation, the singer of corridos tumbados continues to move forward and already offered a historic concert on August 23 at the GNP Stadium.
However, Cano has been the subject of recent controversy. He was accused of bribing two officials, a situation that has created uncertainty about his immediate future, although he is still awaiting an initial hearing on September 10.

This legal event has surprised many of his fans, especially because the artist has publicly downplayed the charges he faces. Recently, prior to his appearance in Mexico City, where he managed to sell out his concert, Cano joked about the situation.
A group of fans found him leaving a restaurant at night and immediately approached him to try to get a greeting or a photo. A fan asked him what he thought about his involvement in the process and the singer from Sonora, first with a smile said that he had no opinion, but then he said in a mocking tone:
“What process? No process… my only process is breakfast, lunch, dinner and sleep.”
Natanael’s situation worsened with the intervention of state authorities, who say that the singer tried to bribe officers with money to continue driving at high speed. If found guilty, Cano could face up to two years in prison, a situation that has his fans and the Mexican entertainment world in suspense.

In the context of his current legal travails, Cano has not made a more formal statement about what happened on August 19. However, his relaxed and dismissive attitude towards the judicial process reflects a personality who is not intimidated by the charges, at least publicly.
The news of his concert and its broadcast on Disney+ was received with astonishment and expectation, given the critical moment he is going through. However, Natanael did not fear any criticism as he performed 55 of his hits in front of more than 65 thousand people and millions more viewers who were able to watch it from home.
The singer even sang a song that was perceived as “forbidden” because it deals with an alleged connection between the federal government and organized crime. With his concert, Cano reaffirmed his position in the music industry and reiterated the loyalty of his fans, who continue to show him unconditional support.
