TELEVISION – They were speechless. Season 18 of “France has incredible talent” has been in full swing on M6 for three weeks. Every Tuesday evening, viewers can judge, from their sofa, the performances of candidates who are sometimes crazy, like this farting champion with his hands, and sometimes impressive, like the dance duo of Adeline and Jr Maddripp. During the third audition session, Sugar Sammy, Marianne James, Hélène Ségara and Éric Antoine had to judge magicians, groups of dancers, acrobat duos, but also singers.
Et as you can see in our video at the top of the article, the four jurors were captivated by the performance of Natalie Te Paa, a visually impaired singer and talented pianist. The 27-year-old young woman showed up on the set on the arm of host Karine Le Marchand. After briefly introducing herself, she sat down at the piano and began playing and singing, reinterpreting the song Golden Hour the JVKE.
After listening to it, the jury admitted to having been captivated by the voice of the young woman. Its members highlighted the simplicity of the performance, but also its righteousness and balance. Sugar Sammy, although usually stingy with compliments, mentioned that hearing the young woman had stopped him from “ do your jury duty ”, placing him in the position of “ simple spectator ».
Natalie Te Paa, already used to TV shows
The singer of New Zealand origin is not her first appearance on television. The artist, who can be followed on social networks with the nickname Natbysight, is in fact used to the format “ Amazing talent “.
