Join us on Thursday, December 14, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the iconic, historic community restaurant Las Cuatro Milpas for the final exhibition of natalia ventura, the San Diego Made Factory Resident Artist for the My Creative Journey Residency Program and Event Series. This special event celebrates the culmination of natalia’s work during her residency, showcasing her unique approach to art and community engagement.
natalia ventura (she/her) is an artist and organizer who lives, works, and hails from San Diego (Kumeyaay land). Her dual studio and social art practice reflects the vibrant duality of her borderlands consciousness. In her studio work, natalia explores her internal experiences as a Mexican-Cuban-American woman, while her social practice focuses on grassroots organizing for social and environmental justice at the San Diego-Tijuana border. With a creative practice rooted in radical love and cultural memory, natalia strives to liberate both herself and her community by building pathways toward collective healing and freedom.
We are excited to host this event at Las Cuatro Milpas, a cherished community hub that will be selling an abbreviated menu during the evening.
The event will also feature live music, creating a vibrant atmosphere to complement natalia’s powerful work. Guests will have the opportunity to explore her stunning body of art, which weaves together personal and collective narratives of resilience and transformation. Interactive art and installations will provide a deeper connection to the themes of the exhibition, celebrating natalia’s impactful contributions to the My Creative Journey program and her ongoing dedication to justice and healing.
Admission is free and open to the public. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience natalia ventura’s inspiring journey through art, activism, and community storytelling.
