Her departure sparked a storm of criticism on social media. Her manager Stijn Peeters – Bart’s brother – responds in Dag Allemaal.
“Natalia knew she would be criticized, but because Barbados was a green zone, and so she did nothing wrong, she did not care about it,” said Peeters.
“(…) When Natalia was completely unemployed at home due to corona and therefore decided to go to her second home, I warned her that she would receive comments about it. She realized this all too well, but she also knows that she has done nothing against the rules. Barbados was a green travel destination at the time. And then that’s okay for her. Natalia takes that rumble on social media there, she can handle it. ”
