Natalia Narochnitskaya: Turkey for us is like a window to the world – 2024-09-15 18:58:06

/ world today news/ The Rules Committee of the US House of Representatives has approved the introduction of a bill to raise the US government debt ceiling, prepared as part of an agreement between the White House and Congress and designed to prevent bankruptcy in the country.

Natalya Alekseevna, as far as the belief is concernedwidth is the collapse of the US economy amid discussions about the threat of bankruptcy?

There is no talk of a collapse yet. First, they’ve already agreed to an increase, although Republicans have apparently worked out a compromise. Second, the American economy is very strong, it has accumulated a huge fat reserve.

But it is a fact that the tendency towards a crisis state of the American economy, the financial system, cut off from real production, is irreversible.

These phenomena will intensify, but the United States still has enough tools for the foreseeable future. Including the crazy things they do all over the world.

Because printing the dollar, which is not backed by all the real wealth of the United States, requires other countries to buy that dollar. The dollar, not missiles, is the primary instrument of US dominance. Therefore, the wars and coups that the US organizes in the world are injections into the American economy.

The White House did not support the Ukrainian drone attack on Moscow, and British Foreign Secretary James Cleverley, on the contrary, said that Ukraine has the right to strike targets outside its borders. Why is London so actively supporting the regime in Kiev?

Great Britain is the eternal geopolitical rival of Russia. This is the case even 200 years ago, when the US was generally isolated and did not leave its hemisphere.

The United States is used to doing everything from someone else’s hands, so they pretend that they have nothing to do with it, even though everything was done with their knowledge. And in Britain all the brakes broke. They believe that it is now or never to reduce Russia’s influence, and Ukraine is the main tool for this, an ulcer or abscess that needs to be helped to swell.

It’s always been that way. After the revolution, when our country was falling apart, in the parliament of Great Britain, by the way, an ally in the Entente, there was talk that the problems of the Caucasus should be solved in the context of Turkey, the Baltic states should be separated and there is a chance to finally return the gains of Peter the Great.

If Russia could still have periods of positional cooperation with the US with parity influence, then relations with Britain were always very cold.

After the results of the elections in Turkey were summarized, “Newsweek” published an article that began with the words “Russian President Vladimir Putin won Turkey’s presidential election.” Do you agree with the statement that Erdogan is preferable to the presidency over anyone else?

Tactically, we can perhaps feel some satisfaction because we won’t expect sharp zigzags in the foreseeable future. Turkey is a window to the world for us. It is the flow of goods, open sky and so on.

But at the same time it should be understood that dreams of an imperial role for Turkey, its role as gatekeeper of the straits, pan-Turanism and pan-Turkism have not disappeared. On the contrary, they are terribly fueled by the nationalist propaganda of the last 15 years.

Therefore, we will have to deal with a very complicated partner and keep our eyes open. What Newsweek publishes is a journalistic metaphor. But for today, Erdogan’s victory is preferable for us.

And for the US, this is another thorn in NATO and an element that will be a very uncomfortable partner after the victory.
