New Delhi: UP Warriors set a target of 161 runs in the Women’s Premier League match against Mumbai Indians. Batting first, Mumbai scored 160 runs at the loss of six wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Mumbai’s top scorer was Nat Skeever-Brandt who scored 45 runs. Chamari took two wickets for UP Warriors.
Mumbai won the toss and batted first at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. Mumbai women got off to a poor start. Mumbai lost both openers within four overs. Hayley Mathews (4) was dismissed in the second over and Yastika Bhatia (9) in the fourth over. Both of them were returned by Chamari Attappath.

Substitute Amanjot Kaur (7) had to return in the next over. Mumbai’s last wicket falls on the last ball. Amelia Kerr, who scored 39 runs off 23 balls including six boundaries, was run out by Grace Harris. Malayalee Sajana Sajevan, who came last, remained unbeaten on 22 runs. Sajana scored 22 runs from 14 balls with four boundaries.
